When the Sonic Hedgehog Game starts you can see that Sonic the Hedgehog is the only character you can choose to play sonic game.

Choose Sonic the Hedgehog, then you will see a cut scene that police cars are chasing a liquid monster but the police fail. Sonic the Hedgehog has no choice so he jumps down and battle that monster.

Sonic Chaos 0

Sonic Chaos 0 is very easy to battle, before you battle him just take a few rings to be safe. Now use Sonic Homing Attack to attack Sonic Chaos 0. After you hit him two times with Sonic Homing Attack, he will hop up the lamp post and attack you with it's long tentacles. Wait until it gets down, then attack it with Sonic Homing Attack to win this boss battle.

After you battle that monster will appear lying on the chair next to the pool. Then you will see Sonic Tails crashing, then you go to the beach nearby to begin Sonic Adventure first stage - Sonic Adventure Emerald Coast.
